Rip 'n' Sew members made more than 600 quilts in 2009, which were donated to several different community outreach charities. Eighty (80) "patriotic quilts" were delivered to the VA Hospital in Phoenix. More than a ninety members contributed in some way to make the 80 quilts that were delivered to the VA Hospital

A SEW-IN is a great opportunity for doing something for others, sharing a great time with fellow members, and sometimes learning something you have never done before. Click here for pictures of the recent sew-in for doing quilts for the needy with the flatlock technique.

The Rip 'N' Sew Club has something for everyone who loves to sew.

The club provides members with a room full of state-of-the-art equipment — Baby Lock and Bernina sewing machines, Juki sergers, and Brother embroidery machines, as well as a multitude of other sewing aids. The club schedules activities such as bus trips to sewing craft shows and shopping meccas, a fashion show, and participation in craft fairs where we can display our handiwork. Beginners find instruction in classes and can observe more experienced members, while accomplished seamstresses hone their skills with specialized classes. Other members combine their love of sewing with public service by sewing clothing for homeless children and making quilts for those in need.
